1. First
step is to find "Dial-Up Networking" on the customeršs computer

Open
My Computer from desktop
Open Control Panels Folder
Dial-Up Networking should be in the Control
Panels screen (if Dial-Up Networking is not
visible, it may need to installed. To install Dial-Up
Networking use the instructions listed in section
1a below. If Dial-Up Networking is already installed,
move on to section 2)

Computer screen (if Dial-Up Networking is not

Go
to Start Menu in lower left of desktop
Scroll up to Settings
Dial-Up Networking will be located in the Settings
menu (skip ahead to section2)
1a. Installing
Dial-Up Networking
i.
If the Dial-Up Networking folder is not visible in
the My Computer folder that can be found on your
desktop, you will need to install it from your original
disks.
ii.
Double-click the Control Panel icon.
iii.
Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
iv.
Click the Windows Setup tab.
v.
Select Communications and click the Details
button.
- Check
the box next to Dial-Up Networking.
vi.
Click OK to finish selection and go back to the Windows
Setup tab.
vii.
Click OK.
viii.
Insert your Windows CD if necessary, and reboot.
2. Open
"Dial-Up Networking"
3. Double-Click
"Make New Connection" as shown below:

4. Enter
name of connection (ValleySurf) as shown below Ignore "Select
a Device" area as the proper modem should already be indicated.
Click Next.

5. Enter
local Dial-Up Number in area indicated below (use our Dial-Up
Number Locator to find a number local to your area). It is
best to verify that the number given is a local call from
your home. To do this, simply dial "0" and ask the operator
if the number is a local or toll call from your home line.
ValleySurf is not responsible for long distance or toll calls
made by customers. Click Next.

6. Click
Finish.

7. Double-Click
newly created ValleySurf connection icon from Dial-Up
Networking menu

8. Enter
your ValleySurf username and password and click Save Password
(note: make sure username and password are carefully entered,
and that case-sensitivity is correct).

9. CONGRATULATIONS!
Your computer is now configured to dial into and access your
ValleySurf account. Simply Click Connect and your modem
will dial into the ValleySurf network.
