Macintosh
OS 9 Manual Dial-Up Configuration
Configuring
your Macintosh to access the Internet will require adjusting
two separate Control Panels on your computer: "TCP/IP" Control
Panel and "Remote Access" Control Panel. This tutorial will
walk you through both processes.
1. Open
the TCP/IP Control Panel from the "Apple" menu as shown
below.

2.
Enter the TCP/IP settings information as shown in the example
below. Then close the window.

3.
Open the Remote Access Control Panel from the Apple Menu as
shown below.

4.
With the Remote Access window open, enter your ValleySurf
username, password and local dial-up number as demonstrated
in the example below. (Remember to enter YOUR username and
password; jsmith is used as an example). Then simply use our
"Dial-Up Number Generator" to identify a ValleySurf access
number that is a local call from the location your computer
will be dialing from. There is no need to enter the area code.
Lastly, make sure that the "Registered User" and "Save Password"
boxes are checked. Now simply click Connect and your computer
will dial in to the ValleySurf network and you will be online!
